Approach

Global Civic Sharing is committed to helping individuals and communities believe that they have the power to make a change in society. Through community partnerships and active involvement of local staff, we train communities to take part in the decision making of development programs.


Domestic Activities

While our primary focus is international community development, Global Civic Sharing is also committed to educating and strengthening Korean civil society to actively engage in global development issues.


Geographic Scope

We currently operate programs in Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, East Timor, and Fiji, a total of 15 countries.


Objectives

Global Civic Sharing pursues the following objectives: 


  • Implement development assistance projects 
  • Support the empowerment of civil society 
  • Provide emergency relief and aid for victims of natural disasters and conflicts 
  • Conduct public relations and educational programs 
  • Encourage young Koreans to actively participate in volunteer activities 
  • Carry out research and advocacy campaigns

Global Civic Sharing believes that individuals and communities have the power to create meaningful change. By fostering community partnerships and engaging local staff, we empower communities to actively participate in decision-making processes for their development programs.
