Global Civic Sharing(GCS) carries out various campaigns to enhance the general public's understanding of international development and to participate in poverty alleviation activities as global citizens.
The campaign is held on the day of major international development-related events such as the ‘World Day for the Eradication of Poverty’ on October 17th, and through online and offline, citizens of not only Korea but also countries where GCS global offices are located are participating in the campaign.
POLICY SOLIDARITY
Global Civic Sharing expresses the opinions of civil society, such as participating in policy dialogues with the government and solidarity with civil society at home and abroad to eradicate poverty in the global village.
Committee for International Development Cooperation
Director Kim Hyekyung was appointed as a civilian member of the International Development Cooperation Committee under the Prime Minister's Office in August 2014, and served as a bridge to publicize the opinions of civil society on the Korean government's development assistance policy during her two-year term.
Participation in Policy Discussions
Director Kim Hyung-shik was elected as a member of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities from 2011 and re-elected for a four year term(2015-2018). He played a role in supervising the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and actively conducting policy proposals in the field of international development cooperation for the disabled.
UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities(CRPD)
